Avoid cash advances unless absolutely necessary. The moment you take out a cash advance, interest begins accruing. Cash advances can be very expensive so it’s best to avoid them if at all possible.

If you’re carrying a balance on your credit card because of an introductory offer you’ve received, make sure that the balance is paid off before the introductory rate expires or you’re going to be paying a pretty penny in finance charges.
Credit Card Tips #4. Examine Your Statements
Each month, examine your statements closely. If for any reason you’re unable to pay off your balance in its entirety one month, review your credit card statement and see if you can figure out why. You might need to cut back on expenses.
