What Type of Credit Card Consumer Are You?
What Your Credit Card Habits Say About You
When it comes to credit cards, I’ve notice three distinct groups of credit card consumers. Wondering what they are and where you fit in? Here's the scoop...
Group One -- The Stubborn No Nos
Okay, silly name -- I admit it. However, refusing to use a credit card at all is also kind of silly so maybe the name fits.
This group of credit card consumers refuses to use credit cards no matter what. Now, it's important to note that these are NOT the credit card users who couldn't control themselves and decided to write of credit card use forever. These are the consumers who have never applied for credit cards and immediately shred any credit card offers that come in the mail.
Group Two -- The Wise Men (and Women)
The second group of credit card consumers tends to use their credit cards wisely and pay off the balances each and every month. They also plan their purchases well in advance, and never forget about making a payment. You'll never catch them charging more than they can chew or forgetting about a payment or two.
Group Three -- The Gimmie Gimmies
The third group of consumers uses credit cards to buy items they otherwise couldn’t afford. They want it now and they don't want to wait. These consumers also tend to carry a higher credit card debt.
So What's the Point?
So, now that we've identified the three different groups of credit card consumers, what's the point? First and foremost, it's finding where you fit in...
