Pre-Qualified Credit Card Offers
Are Credit Card Offers Everything They’re Supposed to Be?
If you’re overwhelmed by the number of credit card offers you receive in the mail, you’re not alone. Many of these credit card offers tout to be pre-qualified or pre-authorized invitations, leading you to believe that you’ve actually been approved for the credit card offer you’ve been mailed. But is that really the case?
A Tricky Advertising Technique
The credit card market is saturated and credit card offers are doing everything and anything to entice people into applying for a card. Many times these credit card offers appear as though you’ve actually already been approved for the credit card you’re applying for. Unfortunately, that’s not really the case.
If you think that they’re not going to pull your credit report or that they’ve already approved your credit card application when you receive one of these credit card offers, you might want to think twice. This technique is nothing but a marketing ploy used to lure credit card applicants like you into responding to the credit card offer.
So if you have less than perfect credit and you’re expecting a credit card in the mail due to one of these credit card offers, you might want to wait to see if you’ve actually been approved.
