Pay Your Credit Cards on Time to Avoid Late Fees
Easy Tips to Help You Remember to Pay Your Credit Cards on Time
If you have several credit cards, you might find yourself getting frustrated when it is time to pay the bills. It is so easy to lose a statement and forget to pay on time and keeping track of all those bills can feel like a full-time (okay, part-time) job. Fortunately, you can pay your credit cards with ease by putting the following tips to work for you.
How Much Is Due To Who and When?
Perhaps the most complicated aspect of trying to pay your credit cards on time is that each credit card probably has a different due date. Sometimes you can request a specific due date with the credit card company. If your credit card companies allow this, you might consider having all of your due dates set on the same day; or if you think that will be to hard on you financially, you can have some due at the beginning of the month and the rest due in the middle. This will mean you only have to pay bills twice a month and it may help you make your payments on time.
You can also try keeping a wall calendar near your desk or bill paying center. Write down the name of each credit card on the appropriate day of the month when the payment is due. This will help you pay your credit cards on time.
Do whatever you can to keep yourself organized. When you forget to pay your credit cards on time, you will waste hard-earned money on late fees and jeopardize your credit rating in the process.
The Punishment Isn’t Always Fair
Credit card companies charge high late fees and can even increase your interest rate if you are late with your payments, so you really should try to do everything possible to simplify bill paying. The last thing you wan to do is pay hundreds more in interest because you thought something was due later than it actually was.
