Pay Too Much Off Your Credit Card and Pay the Price
Is There Such a Thing as Paying Too Much of a Credit Card Payment?
I’m always saying what a great idea it is to pay off as much of your credit card balance as possible, so when I ask you whether or not you’re making too high of a credit card payment, it probably takes you a bit by surprise. Now don’t get me wrong, I still think paying off your credit card balances as quickly as possible is a good idea, but did you know that making an abnormally high credit card payment may very well cause the government to scrutinize whether or not you’re a terrorist threat?
Astounding or Appalling?
I’m a patriotic person and I’m all for fighting terrorism, but I’m really wondering what the heck our government has been thinking lately. I recently found out that when a person makes a payment on their credit card that is much higher than their usual payment amount, the credit card company is required to notify homeland security. Exactly how much money it takes to result in a call to homeland security isn’t being disclosed, but the fact that any credit card payment requires a call to the government is a bit hard for me to swallow.

Blowing your nose the wrong way will result in a call to Homeland Security.
