Credit Cards of the Rich and Famous?
The Credit Cards of the Wealthy
What do Paris Hilton and Donald Trump have in common? They're both rich and famous and they both have credit cards. But are the credit cards of the rich and famous the same credit cards you and I use? Probably not. If you're wondering what credit cards the rich and famous carry, we have the answers.
American Express Centurion
With an annual fee of $2,500 a year, it's obvious that the Centurion card from American Express is only for the rich and famous. In fact, the Centurion card was the first credit cards of its kind. In addition to ridiculously-high spending limits and the prestige of a black card, this credit card offers its cardholders an array of concierge services.
The concierge services offered to Centurion cardholders makes the services of other credit cards look rather pathetic and paltry. Want front-row seats to a Lakers game or reservations at an exclusive restaurant? Centurion can get it for you.
Citibank Ultima
Black credit cards have put gold and platinum to shame, and the Citibank Ultima is no exception. This credit card offers perks like private Gulfstream jet access and a chance to rent an 80-foot yacht complete with crew. It's no wonder the rich and famous use this card.
The Coutts & Co.'s World Card
This may very well be the most exclusive credit card in the world -- the creme de la creme of rich and famous credit cards, so to say. Only 100 people worldwide are said to even carry the card and you have to have a net worth of millions to be invited.
For the Rest of Us
Okay, so you don't have millions and you don't qualify for any of the above cards. No problem. Want to look like a star? Many credit card companies are making black cards for those of us who are more "average" than the Trumps and Hiltons of the world.
Try the New Millenium Black Diamond card on for size. The fees are high and it is a secured card, but if you really want a black card, this may be the answer. (Note: We do NOT recommend this card, btw -- however, some visitors asked about getting a black card, so this article is our answer.)
